Q: How do you connect two 10Base-T hubs?
Three choices:

  • Use a crossover cable from any port on one hub to any port on the other hub.
  • If MDI/MDI-X port is available, plug a straight-through cable from the MDI port on one Hub to the MDI-X port on the other hub.
  • If transceiver modules are installed, connect the appropriate cable for that transceiver into the transceiver port on the other hub (e.g., thin coaxial cable for a BNC to BNC connection).
